Why did I write it?  I decided to write it because I couldn't see any
reason that tunnel bonding didn't work before I refactoring the
bonding code, and I didn't want to introduce a regression.

How did I test it?  I didn't.  Maybe it doesn't work.  I hope that it
does though.
