I've now viewed the result in a number of different programs: "gitk",
"git citool", "less" in gnome-terminal, Emacs, vi, and Chromium.  For
me, it's only displayed and aligned properly in "gitk".  (In vi and
less, it's aligned properly but the characters are wrong.  In
Chromimum, it's not aligned properly and the characters are wrong.
Presumably these are font problems.)

In how many of them does it look correct to you?
