Just one question here. From my understanding, VMware folks are working on the kernel patch to add netlink support, and Alin (and possibly Sam) are working on the userspace changes.[1]

>From your note, looks like Sam is also working on the kernel side changes. While this is good in general, we have agreed that kernel side netlink infrastructure changes will be made by the VMware folks. I just want to make sure that this is still the case, and avoid duplication of effort.

In the next few weeks, we'll start implementing the commands, and that work can be spread out. Do let me know if this understanding is not correct.

- Synced up on where things are. VMware folks to send out kernel patch, and try to integrate with the patch that Alin sent out for porting dpif-linux.c.
