[ovs-dev] OVS/OVN split complete in ovn-org/ovn repository

Hi Numan,

I have some basic queries:
a. Will OVN has its own versioning and release now?
b. Will OVS RPM continue to provide OVN binaries?

Sorry, I know these things have been discussed already. I thought I will check on mailing list, rather than digging through the emails 😊.

Regards,
Ankur

Subject: [ovs-dev] OVS/OVN split complete in ovn-org/ovn repository

Hello everyone,

We just completed the OVS/OVN split in the ovn-org/ovn [1] repository.
Please start using
the new repo for OVN development. If you have already cloned the ovn repo, after fetching the latest code, please run :./boot.sh", configure etc to compile properly.

OVN code is still present in the OVS repo. Mark is planning to submit the patch to delete OVN code from OVS repo.

If you have OVN patches under review, then request to resend those patches targeting the new repo with "[ovn]" in the subject line.

For any back port patches for branch 2.12, please submit those patches targeting OVS repo once those patches are merged in the new OVN repo.

For any questions or issues please let us know.

Thanks
Numan
