[ovs-discuss] Problems with WinXP vms

Hey guys,

I have been running into problems with running XP in a vm (using qemu-kvm)
attached to a vswitch.

Details:
4 virtual networks
5 vms each network
20 vms total
16 of the 20 vms (4 per network) are running XP
4 of the 20 vms (1 per network) are runing Linux
Host OS is Ubuntu 10.10 server.

There is a dhcp server on the host dedicated to the vms to dish out virtual
static ip addresses.

The Linux vms always come up and get an ip.

It seems half of the XP vms are not able to get an ip address even though
they request one.

Another issue is that one of our client/server applications that runs on
windows is getting an obscure Windows error:
[Errno 87] The parameter is incorrect.

When we test without the vswitch, the error does not occur.

I also tested this vswitch configuration on Arch-Linux and it produced the
same error.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Tom
