I think you're going to need to provide more information in terms of what you did.  What do you mean by connected it to eth1?  Wouldn't you connect it to the bridge?  I'm also surprised that you've attached eth0 and eth1 to the same bridge (unless you've configured them as a bond).

It may be most useful to look at out Oracle VM is doing networking out of the box and then try to duplicate it using OVS.
