My guess is that it will be released in March.  It should be narrowed down
more in the next couple of days.

It looks like 2.2.x will be the next LTS release.  A number of significant
performance improvements have gone into 2.1.x that required architectural
changes, and we want to let them settle.  I don't expect problems with the
release (1.11 and 2.0 were even more radical), but 2.2.x should be a more
incremental release.
