[ovs-discuss] What does "--" mean when configuring using ovs-vsctl

Hi.
/ From the man page, I roughly know -- can be used to separate the global
commands and local parameters during each invocation/
I wonder does "--" also separate each invocation?
For example,

  *ovs-vsctl* *--* *set* *Bridge* *br0* *netflow=@nf* *\*
              *--*   *--id=@nf*   *create*   *NetFlow*
*targets=\"192.168.0.34:5566 <http://192.168.0.34:5566>\"*
              *active-timeout=3*

What's the "--" in -- set and -- -- id?
