[ovs-discuss] SegFault when adding or deleting a port from ovs bridge

Hello,

I sent an email yesterday with a more vague problem, but this is the cause
of the problem I was experiencing:

I am experiencing a segfault in ovs when I start or stop a VM (using
libvirt and qemu) which is adding and subtracting the ports vnet[0-9] to my
network bridge. This is causing a temporary (~10 second) loss of
connectivity across the switch, which is also accommodating the host
computer's internet connection, and a loss of connection to the host is not
acceptable in my application.

Here is the exact error reported in dmesg:

[ 3333.168972] device vnet0 entered promiscuous
mode
[ 3651.139430] device vnet0 left promiscuous
mode
[ 3690.607326] device vnet0 entered promiscuous
mode
[ 5767.812656] device vnet0 left promiscuous
mode
[ 5767.921245] ovs-vswitchd[4038]: segfault at 39 ip 00000000004597a0 sp
00007ffff0fd22b8 error 4 in ovs-v
switchd[400000+12f000]

Thank you for your support or suggestions,
Jeff
