[ovs-discuss] ovs-ctl start question

Hello,
Regarding the command ovs-ctl start in the service script under /etc/init.d, if I put the option:

−−system−id=random

Does it matter that this option was not specified when I installed the openvswitch and started it manually using the commands that are specified in openvswitch.org:   http://git.openvswitch.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=openvswitch;a=blob_plain;f=INSTALL;hb=HEAD

I mean that if you use that commands you don’t specify nothing similar to that option.
