Hi -

I want to start the ovsdb-server. But the strange thing I met is that the
ovsdb-server gives me the following error message:

2014-11-12T19:07:31Z|00001|fatal_signal|WARN|could not unlink
"/usr/local/var/run/openvswitch/ovsdb-server.18318.ctl" (No such file or
binding failed: No such file or directory
ovsdb-server: could not initialize control socket
punix:/usr/local/var/run/openvswitch/ovsdb-server.18318.ctl (No such file
or directory)

My script is like this:
rm -rf /var/run/openvswitch
mkdir /var/run/openvswitch
rm -rf /etc/openvswitch
mkdir -p /etc/openvswitch

ovsdb-tool create /etc/openvswitch/conf.db vswitchd/vswitch.ovsschema

ovsdb-server --remote=punix:/var/run/openvswitch/db.sock \
                     --remote=db:Open_vSwitch,Open_vSwitch,manager_options \
--pidfile=/var/run/openvswitch/ovsdb-server.pid --detach
ovs-vsctl --db=unix:/var/run/openvswitch/db.sock --no-wait init
ovs-vswitchd --pidfile=/var/run/openvswitch/ovs-vswitchd.pid --detach

The question that puzzled me is that i told ovsdb-server to check files in
folder /var/run/
not /usr/loca/var/run/. However, it is still trying to read files from

It seems that ovsdb-server keeps some history of the configurations.

Hope that someone can give me some guidance on this configuration issue -
the behaviors are so strange and I have found a solution to handle it..
