[ovs-discuss] PXE boot (or dhcp) on KVM guest failed

Hello,

14.04.1 KVM host -> vm1 [dhcp, tftp, pxe] -> new vm's will pxe boot to vm1.
On the kvm host, eth0 is attached to ovs bridge br0. OVS version is 2.0.2.

The problem is the new vm’s fail to get a dhcp ip and fails with error “No
more Network devices” && “No bootable device”.

If static ip is assigned, it gets a tftp timeout with error
“tftp://ip/pxelinux.0 … Connection timed out” && “No more Network devices”
&& “No bootable device”.

If the eth0 interface is deleted from the ovs bridge, the above errors is
not seen and things work fine.

As additional steps, STP is enabled with max_wait=6 and delay=4.

Anyone seen this behavior? Any pointers to solve this?

Cheers,
Sandeep.
