This might be a good idea in some scenarios and I have come across this earlier. We have done this in eNB to immunize the key daemon from oom killer by setting oom_adj of the process to OOM_DISABLE.

Subject: [ovs-discuss] ovs support setting oom_score_adj for oom killer protection

It is well known that it is the job of the linux 'oom killer' to sacrifice one or more processes in order to free up memory for the system,
It's essential that the important process ovs-vswitchd is protected. for oom killer protection,
I think that it's a good idea to modify oom_score_adj values for the ovs-vswitchd daemon.

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

All the best wishes for you.
