Subject: OVS_DPDK with Vxlan (user space tunneling)

Hi Sugesh,

Unfortunately I had to unicast you since you are the document author, if someone else can assist please let me know.
[Sugesh] You can ask questions in the discuss mailing list.

I am going through your document

http://docs.openvswitch.org/en/latest/howto/userspace-tunneling/

and have some questions

(1) how does packets reach from br-int to br-phy and from br-phy to br-int? Currently i am seeing issue where Vxlan packets are reaching br-phy but not br-int, any configuration needed?
[Sugesh] need not be. All the configuration needed for a tunnel is already provided in that document.
Can you verify the rules in the datapath using ovs-appctl dpctl/dump-flows?
Also can you able to send the traffic in other direction. i.e normal traffic to vxlan encapsulated traffic.

(2) Which OVS release this is supported?
[Sugesh] It should support in all the ovs releases.

(3) Will this also work for GRE tunnels?
[Sugesh] yes

Thanks,
Ravi
