[ovs-discuss] Running OVS as a non-root user

Hi everyone!

I'm in the midst of porting OVS to an arm64 android device.

I have successfully compiled and ran it however due to constraints I am
looking for the ability to run as a non-root user.

I am trying first to simply run as a non root user on my Ubuntu 18.04
installation. The docs say to have libcap-ng installed for non-root
capability which I do!

when running the following command:

./ovs-ctl start

I get the following error

The daemon log file shows

Could anyone point me in the right direction as to the required steps for
running OVS as a non root user.

Kind Regards,

Caelan.
